The Carers specialises in personalising our home care services to best suit you and your loved ones needs. Our flexible and dedicated office team will work together with you and your loved-one to create a care plan tailored to meet your individual home care needs. We recognise the uniqueness of each individual’s circumstances and no matter how much, or little, help is required, we will endeavour to find the perfect care solution for you.

The Carers employs a team of committed, reliable and loyal care staff, who are trained to maintain the highest standard of care whilst offering a sensitive and friendly service.

24 Hours 7 Days a Week

Home Care Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Services can be provided on short term, long term, hourly, daily, nightly or live-in basis.

The Carer’s community-based home care team is able to provide the following services to assist your loved-ones to remain living at home as independently possible.

Domestic Assistance

  • General cleaning
  • Laundry – washing & ironing
  • Shopping;
  • Transport to appointments
  • Food services – preparing nutritionally balanced, culturally appropriate meal preparation, heating and plating a meal, preparing a light meal for later
  • Assistance with bill paying and other tasks

Personal Care

  • Showering
  • Bathing
  • Dressing/undressing grooming
  • Toilet assistance – bowel management , stoma management
  • Continence and Catheter management
  • Medication Management
  • Assistance with mobility and transfer
  • Nutrition including PEG feeds

Social Support

  • Engaging in personal activities and interests at home
  • – hobbies, board games, arts and crafts, men’s shed, cutting flowers in the garden
  • Engaging in personal activities and interests within the community
  • – attending the theatre, sporting events or movies
  • Support at family functions e.g. weddings, birthday parties, funerals etc.
  • Social interactions – coffee, lunch or dinner outings
  • Taking shopping – groceries, clothing, presents
  • Assisting with banking and bill paying
  • Companionship
  • Travel companion
  • Pet management – walking the dog, emptying kitty litter tray
  • Companionship at home or in residential care
  • Shopping services in residential care

Respite Care

Providing a relief service for the primary carer/s to have a break and do something for themselves, knowing their loved one is well cared for during their absence, whether it be for an hour or a couple of days.

Overnight Care

A 12 hour overnight shift to enable a good night sleep or respite for a primary carer.

Short-term Live-in Care

A 24 hour live-in shift – providing Care Support Staff to enable a break from caring.

Our Care Support Staff will attend at a time agreeable to assist with any task listed.
